A usher is a servant of God, a ministry worker, and a visible representative of the spirit of the church. Ushers help maintain order, extend hospitality, assist the pastor and church leadership, and support the congregation before, during, and after worship service.

I have had the honor of serving at the door of God’s house, and I remain steadfast in my commitment to the mission, ministry, and future of the Unit Church Ushers League of Illinois. Ushering is not simply a role; it is a calling that requires discipline, humility, prayer, and unwavering faith, especially in seasons of change.
As we move forward, I am dedicated to strengthening our League through unity, mentorship, and a willingness to grow beyond familiar ways while honoring the foundation laid before us. Our continued success depends on our collective dedication to service, recruitment, and nurturing the next generation of ushers.
